Founder
Farah Khan is an Army officer’s wife and a woman entrepreneur who specialises in Kantha hand embroidered products made in rural West Bengal. She manufactures an exquisite range of Kantha hand embroidered sarees, dupattas, stoles and accessories using pure silk and tussar fabrics. She always had a fascination for hand embroideries and dreamt of working with the artisans at the grass root level to promote the rich handicrafts of India. Being an army wife, she started her work when she got an opportunity to visit the villages in Kashmir who specialise in hand embroidery and saw the fine work of the artisans.
She began working with the Kashmiri artisans with the hand embroidered shawls and stoles. With her formative years immersed in working with grass-root level artisans, exposed to the rich history, traditions and culture, her work and quality of products caught the imagination and appreciation of women connoisseurs all over the world in a very short span of time.
An avid traveller, she has travelled to all the continents and her products have been exhibited in numerous cities all over the world, in places as diverse as Rekjavik, Santiago, Auckland and Los Angeles.
